2012 Ford F-250 Performance and Handling
The Ford F-250 is available in four distinct trims - XL, XLT, Lariat and King Ranch. All four trims are available in 6-3/4" or 8" box styles. The XL and XLT are available in Crew Cab, Regular Cab and Super Cab styles, while the Lariat is available in Crew Cab and Super Cab styles. The King Ranch is available only in the Crew Cab style. All have a maximum gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) of 10,000 pounds. The F-250 is powered by a 385hp, 6.2L SOHC V8 2-Valve Gas engine that is E85-capable, with the option of a 400hp, 6.7L Power Stroke V8 Turbo Diesel engine available for all trims. Both engines are paired with a TorqShift Heavy-Duty 6-speed SelectShift automatic transmission. |

2012 Ford F-250 Standard & Optional Equipment
With so many different trim, cab and box styles available, the list of standard and optional features for each is wide and varied. Air conditioning is standard for all, with manual temperature control for the XL and XLT, and Dual-Zone Electronic Temperature Control for the Lariat and King Ranch. A rapid-heat supplemental cab heater is optional for all. Every Ford F-250 comes with a factory stereo system. The XL features an AM/FM Stereo with digital clock and two speakers. The XLT adds two more speakers and a single in-dash CD player (optional for the XL). The Lariat and King Ranch sport a premium 8-speaker system with subwoofer and MP3 capability. An auxiliary audio input jack for your handheld music device is standard for the XLT, Lariat and King Ranch trims. SiriusXM Satellite Radio with a 6-month trial subscription is standard for the Lariat and King Ranch, optional for the XLT. Sync AppLink also is standard for the Lariat and King Ranch, and optional for the XL and XLT. The Lariat and King Ranch also have the option of a Navigation System with SiriusXM Traffic and SiriusXM Travel Link (SiriusXM services require subscription once trial expires). 2012 Ford F-250 Safety & Security Features
All 2012 Ford F-250s come equipped standard with front-seat front airbags (Regular and Super Cab include a passenger-side deactivation switch); front-seat side airbags; Safety Canopy System with roll-fold side-curtain airbags; Belt-minder chime and flashing warning light on instrument cluster when belts are not buckled; height-adjustable seat belts; and SOS Post Crash Alert System. In its Regular Cab incarnations, the F-250 also features child tethers for the front passenger and all rear seating positions. Securilock Anti-Theft Ignition comes standard on all F-250s. Remote keyless entry and perimeter anti-theft alarm are included with the XLT, Lariat and King Ranch trims. The Lariat and King Ranch also feature autolock, auto unlock, autolamp/rain lamp and Securicode keyless entry keypad. |
